Mission Statement

The Mission of the Onset Historical Society shall be to collect and preserve historical relics, books, manuscripts, pamphlets, postcards, and biographies of the early starters of the Onset Bay Grove Association; to assist in the education of maintenance of documents pertaining to the Onset Bay Grove Association; and to generate general interest in the history of the village.

The effort to form the Onset Historical Society is dedicated to Marie Strawn and Marilyn Knowlton, who always worked to bring out the best of Onset. Marie Strawn is presently our local historian and lecturer.
